How does it work?

send an email to illustrations@aureliedeckers.com.
Please include your photos in the attachment as well.
Based on your input, I'll create a sketch and send it to you. If you'd like, you can let me know about any minor changes.
I finish the drawing with pen and watercolor.
The illustration will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking. You will receive the original artwork and a high-quality digital version, ready to save or share.

Please allow about 4 to 5 weeks from the time I receive all the photos and input, depending on how busy I am. Is it for a specific date (birthday, holiday)? Feel free to let me know, and I’ll take that into account.
Preferably one or more sharp, well-lit photos in which the people are clearly visible. The clearer the photo, the better I can capture details such as facial expressions and clothing.
Absolutely! Pets often add the perfect finishing touch to a portrait. Just let us know when you submit your request.
Yes, I ship worldwide with tracking. Shipping costs are calculated separately depending on the destination.
Yes! You can either send me a photo of the portrait you want to give as a gift, or you can choose a gift certificate so the recipient can pick the photo themselves.
No problem at all. Let me know which background you'd like, and I'll take care of it ;)
There are three options: A5, A4, and A3. If you'd like something a little bigger, feel free to send me a message.
That's no problem. You can send multiple photos. I'll make sure everyone is in the drawing together.
Since that poses a greater risk during shipping, I'm sending the portraits in an envelope, without frames.
The more details, the more interesting the portrait. So think about jewelry you like to wear, clothes that define your style, accessories, pets… For more tips, check out my blog post on this topic .

Meet the Artist

My name is Aurelie. I create educational illustrations, watercolor portraits, and picture books. I live in Paris, but I also love coming back home to Leuven.

After studying German and Russian in Antwerp, I moved to Paris and graduated from CESAN as an illustrator and comic book artist.

When I'm not at my drawing board, you can find me in museums and cafes, armed with my sketchbook, tea and cake.
