Introduction & briefing - Through email or a brief conversation, I like to hear who or what I may draw.
Reference Photos - Every portrait begins with your story. You send me photos and tell me what you would like to see in the illustration: who may be in it, are there typical details (like a favorite sweater or coffee mug), and what is the mood you want to convey?
Sketch phase - I make an initial pencil sketch and send it in for approval. Minor adjustments can still be made here.
Elaboration - After your "go," I finish the illustration in full color.
Delivery - You will receive the final result by mail and a digital version if you wish.

On average, I charge 2 to 4 weeks for a portrait, depending on complexity and how busy my schedule is. Need something faster for a special occasion? Let me know and I'll see if I can reschedule.

Each illustration is made by hand, from start to finish. I work with Van Gogh watercolors on high-quality Arches paper (300 g/m²): firm, beautifully textured and perfect for rich colors and fine details.
For the lines, I use a dip pen and black Chinese ink, which creates a vibrant, artisanal effect with character. That combination of liquid lines and soft watercolor tones gives my work its typical, warm look.
So no digital coloring - just paper, water and ink, with great attention and love for the craft....
